Job Summary

Your Role

As an Occupational Therapist you will:

  • Provide disability management services as part of a community-based interdisciplinary care model.
  • Conduct musculoskeletal, psychosocial, cognitive, and functional assessments.
  • Perform home safety and home modification assessments.
  • Develop and implement Occupational Therapy treatment plans that are client-centered, evidence-based, and focused on physical, cognitive, and psychological recovery.
  • Utilize and supervise Rehabilitation Assistants or Kinesiologists during service delivery.
  • Collaborate with doctors, healthcare providers, employers, and insurance adjusters to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Conduct worksite-based services, including job site visits, ergonomic assessments, and return-to-work planning and monitoring.
  • Formulate detailed reports and recommend services based on assessment findings.

Qualifications

  • Requirements

    • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
    • Eligibility for Provisional or Full Registration Status with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) or other provincial regulatory bodies.
    • Professional liability insurance upon start date.
    • Valid driver’s license.
